DEBOUT ! Une histoire du mouvement de libération des femmes 1970-1980
by Carole Roussopoulos, Documentaru, 90', 1999, 35mm, FRANCE / SWITZERLAND

Second half of the 20th century gave rise to the one of the most extraordinary social movements: the Women's Liberation Movement (MLF). In the wake of May 68, this movement, which deeply changed our society is neither known, nor recognized. The fact is that its history is voluntarily ignored by the media and little asserted. The objective of this film is thus to pay homage to the women who created and carried this movement. Through many files (sound, photographic and audio-visual) it honors their intelligence, their audacity and their humor, but also acts as a relay with rising generation.
