SEHNSUCHT

A man and a woman who love each other tenderly live in a village not far from Berlin. Building a « shadowless » life together, they are inseparable. The man, a volunteer firefighter, goes away on a training trip with his fire brigade. One morning, he wakes up in the bed of an unknown woman, he drank too much the night before and has no recollection of what happened. Still in love with his wife, he is grabbed nevertheless by a passionate love with an unknown woman from the city…

 

VALESKA GRISEBACH
Valeska Grisebach was born in Bremen in 1968. After studying philosophy and literature, she joined the Vienna Film Academy. Her graduation film Mein Stern (2000) was very warmly received. In this film, she experimented with working with non-professional actors, which she looked into further in Sehnsucht, her second feature.
