Student in literature, specialist in poetry soufie, Dunia, young 23 years Egyptian person, aspires to becoming professional dancer like her mother. But she pains to find her way, torn between the attraction of the old tradition and cultural and religious inhibitions of the contemporary Arab world. She dances around love until she finds it. Her encounter with Bechir, poet and literary man, will mark a turning point in her life...

BARBARA LODEN
Born in 1948 in Beirut, Jocelyne Saab obtained a Degree in economic Sciences at the Sorbonne, before becoming journalist for the Lebanese daily newspaper El-Safa. Very invested by the various conflicts in the Middle East, she directed several video-documentary such as: La Guerre sur le Golan : le refus syrien (1973), Irak : La Guerre au Kurdistan (1973)... From 1973 to 1991 she directed, over 20 documentaries on various subjects, but always related the Middle East countries. She also made several feature films: Une Vie suspendue (1985) and Il était une fois Beyrouth (1994) which was presented at Créteil in 2000.
