Haifa, June 1979: the history takes place in Israel during the 3 days, which precede the beginning of Shabbat. Once again, Viviane is about to leave Eliahou, her husband. Once again, her brothers succeed in persuading her that her place is near her husband, her children and her family. Tired of this existence, which denies her dreams and her rights, wearies the husband privileges tradition against their happiness as a couple, Viviane remains, but she has her own reasons. At the same time, Albert, a man whom she loved, re-appears in her life. A man that found the way, the space of a too short moment, to offer her what all the other men had always refused to give her: the freedom to be herself.

RONIT ELKABETZ
Born in Israel, Ronit Elkabetz was first a well known actress that worked in films directed by various Israeli filmmakers, such as Amos Gitaï or Keren Yedaya, before directing her first feature film Prendre femme, where she plays the leading role.
