LI FET MET
by Nadia Bouferkas, DocumentaRY, 72', 2007, BEta SP, ALGERIA/FRANCE
It’s been over forty years since the Algerian war. We delve straight into the daily life
of a special administrative section. The old buildings of the French Army are now occupied
by Algerians, which had not chosen the same camp. Today, yesterday’s enemies
live together here, as best they can. Without heroism or regret, these villagers forgotten
and ignored by official History, simply share with us the story of their lives.
