UN ROMAN POLICIER

Jamil Messaouden, young training policeman, arrives as night reinforcement in a small forgotten police station. He is under the orders of lieutenant Emilie Carange, forty, hardened by the death of one of his men. Jamil functions with the instinct and awakes that of Emilie. She feels a certain desire for him, which she masks. Jamil is the only person that understands an Algerian grandmother. She says that she has been the witness of an important drug traffic. Nobody believes her, except him. He gets Emilie involved in an important mafia case that is out of their reach. Emilie tries to control her desire, but when she is turned down, her desire becomes stronger and absolute master of her feelings..

 

STEPHANIE DUVIVIER
Stéphanie Duvivier was born in 1974 in Rabat (Morocco). After a degree in history of art, option cinema (Paris VIII) and a scrip writing training course at the CEFPF, within the framework of Euromed (Aristote 2003), she becomes assistant director for Ildiko Enyedi (Simon le Mage, 1997), by Gerard Mordillat (Paddy, 1988). She directed 2 short films : Le Mariage en papier (2000), which obtained a CNC Quality Premium, and Hymne à la gazelle (2003), which was nominated for the Césars, awards in 2005. Un Roman policier is her first feature film.
