Hanna est une jeune femme troublée qui disparaît sans raisons apparentes : elle part faire des courses et ne revient pas. Elle erre sur les routes de Pologne, cherchant à fuir son passé et en particulier, Pawel, son conjoint qui la recherche partout. Chacun prend le même chemin, Hanna en fuyant et Pawel en la cherchant. Durant leur voyage identique, mais séparé, ils rencontrent d’étranges personnages, des gens comme eux qui ne trouvent pas leur place dans le monde.

Hanna is a confused young woman who leaves home for no obvious reason: she just goes out to do some shopping and does not come back. She sets off on a trip around Poland, trying to escape from her past, and in particular from Pawel, her partner who’s searching for her all over. Both are taking the same route: Hanna by running away from him, Pawel by searching for her. During their separate journeys, they meet strange and fascinating characters, people just like them, who cannot find their place in the world.
